Support from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan
Grupa Azoty Zakłady Fosforowe Gdańsk will implement the project Modernization of the WKS100 sulfuric acid production plant together with the construction of a sulfur combustion furnace, installation of a steam turbine unit and modernization of the heating network for PLN 115 million. The company will receive a PLN 50 million loan from the National Reconstruction and Resilience Plan (KPO). The effect of the investment will be the generation of heat energy in the process of high-efficiency cogeneration, saving electricity and reducing CO2 emissions.

The implementation of the task co-financed by the Provincial Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Gdańsk has been completed, modernization of combustion nodes at the Fertilizer Production Department.
The end of 2024 ended with a focus on reducing the company's carbon footprint and increasing production safety.
The investment consisted in adapting the installation to the replaced energy raw material used for drying mineral fertilizers.
The switch from heavy fuel oil to natural gas reduced consumption
compressed air and technological steam in the fertilizer production process
mineral.
